  • Bottle #1 of a 5-Liter Etched 2006 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon numbered with surprise image, etched and hand-painted by the artisans from Fresh NW Design.  The 2008 Washington Wines Festival Honoree Chairman Alex and Jeanette Golitzin have agreed to bottle ten 5-Liters over the next five years to be sold exclusively at a WWF or Hole in the Wall event.  Only ten will be produced each year.  Bottle #1 is the first of a five year vertical. 
  • Half Barrel of 2007 Two Blondes Blend from Andrew Will Winery.  A one-of-a-kind item.  When this wine is blended and ready it will be bottled at Andrew Will Winery in assorted size format glass with beautiful custom-designed, etched and painted labels featuring Andrew Will and the 2008 Washington Wines Festival.  Four 5-Liters; Ten 3-Liters; Twenty 1.5-Liters and Thirty 750ml.
  • First conducted in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is often said to be the world’s premier celebration of the automobile restoration.  Only the most beautiful and rare automobiles are invited to appear on the famed eighteenth fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links each year, and connoisseurs of art and technology congregate to see them.  The special opportunity begins Friday evening with VIP tickets to special events, and a winemaker dinner with Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges, Hedges Family Estate.  The following morning, the two of you will be chauffeured in a LeMay Classic car to the track with former Indy driver, Dominic Dobson and receive two weekend pit crew passes.  Sunday be a part of the viewing of the Concours d’Elegance, and receive two passes to the Gooding Auction on Polo Fields.  You’ll also have the opportunity to watch Tom Hedges race in his historic Porsche 935K3 factory race car. The Whittington Brothers, previous owners of this car, won overall in 1979  the 24hrs of Le Mans race in an identical car, beating out Paul Newman who placed second overall, also in a Porsche 935. (The Hedges 935 K3 is on display at the Le May exhibit).  Meet and greet opportunities throughout the weekend, (Derek Bell, Brian Redman, Ben Pon to name a few) and passes to exclusive Red Bull “Drivers Only” Club daily.

  • Four Day Rafting Trip on the Rogue River (Grants Pass, Oregon) with Orange Torpedo Trips, providers of white water rafting adventures for more than 38 years.   The trip is for 16 people and will include a food/wine and water pairing seminar at one of the lodges and two winemaker dinners with two of the best Washington state wineries.  On this wilderness trip, you will spend three days paddling some of America's premier white water as you float through one of the four oldest federal wilderness areas in the country.

Save the date for Friday, August 8 when ten of you will enjoy a 5-course dinner prepared by renowned conductor and musician Mateo Messina. Mateo Messina is best known for his work arranging and writing music for the Academy Award winning smash-hit "JUNO." Your hosts will be Linda Carey, Myra and Jack Hanover at the Hanover's lovely waterfront home on Mercer Island, Washington.

  • "Carnation Landscape 1" by Michelle Poole.  Inspired by the beauty of Carnation Farm, this year's artist Michelle Poole painted this piece specially for Wine Weekend.  Acrylic on canvas, measuring 3' x 4'. Michelle Poole lives and works as an artist in Seattle. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts. She has received national recognition for her works, has shown in many West Coast galleries and mainly does private commissions.
